Catastrophies are on the mind of Boston-based Mashpee Wampanoag artist Robert Peters in his drawings and paintings featured in the exhibit “Post-Pandemic: Visions-Insights-Concepts” at Boston’s Spoke Gallery from March 13 to April 21, 2023.

The exhibition title, organizers write, “doesn’t just refer to the current global pandemic, but it also makes reference to the pandemic that caused wide-spread fatalities to the indigenous peoples due to the diseases brought by the foreign traders and colonists when they came to the shores and lands of what is presently called North America.”
