Earthlings are now aflame and consequently need inflammatory rants, directed against the arsonist: Western Civilization and its incompetent government,” Bread and Puppet Theater Director Peter Schumann says of the Vermont company’s show “Inflammatory Earthling Rants (with help from Kropotkin),” which it’s touring across New England in April. “The habitual pragmatic communication jargon won’t do, so the ranters have to resort to the original language which was tasked to employ the spells, charms, and incantations needed to confront the disaster in order to instigate change – with help from Kropotkin’s Mutual Aid ideology.”

Upcoming New England performances:

Wednesday, April 19 – Northampton Center for the Arts, Northampton, MA

Thursday, April 20 – Wakefield, RI, details coming soon

Friday, April 21 – Arts at the Armory, Somerville, MA

Saturday, April 22 – UMass Amherst, Amherst, MA

Sunday, April 23 – Mayo Street Arts, Portland, ME
