The event was part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonmusicawards.com\/shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston Music Awards New Music Series<\/a>. The Boston artist rapped and talked about politics (&#8220;Fuck the system&#8221;), racism (&#8220;You couldn&#8217;t be a racist\/Your best friend&#8217;s black\/I&#8217;m not your best friend, homie&#8221;), depression (&#8220;Been in this pain since &#8217;92\/Look at all this bullshit I got through &#8230; I&#8217;m a little depressed, but we&#8217;re gonna figure it out&#8221;), and the deaths of loved ones (&#8220;You can&#8217;t cut the lights without starting a party&#8221;).
