Two men from the New England Regional Council of Carpenters protested today outside the Cambridge site where Needham-based Nauset Construction is building an apartment and retail complex for owner 3MJ Realty.<\/p>\n

\u201cNauset Does Not Pay Area Standard Wages & Benefits on all projects,\u201d read signs worn by the men from the carpenters union.<\/p>\n

According to a March report by The Cambridge Chronicle<\/a>, the project rising on the parking lot at 10 Essex St., just off Central Square, will create 46 apartments, 3,000 square feet of first floor retail space, an entry plaza, green roofs, outdoor terraces and below-grade resident parking.<\/p>\n
