Sarina Mitchel\u2019s \u201cMaximalist Mind Vomit\u201d exhibit<\/a> at AS220\u2019s Project Space Reading Room in Providence ends tomorrow with a public chat<\/a> between her and Mara Trachtenberg<\/a>, who also has work on view at the gallery.<\/p>\n

It’s a walls-filling installation of sketches, doodles, notes and ephemera. “Get Em’ Out! Mind Vomit Order Now! Goal: Max Externalization. Draw Doodle Write Scribble Scrawl Evacuate all thoughts! To the Walls! Order Effective Immediately,” she writes on one paper. On another she writes, “Don’t Let It Out.” And then you might spot something saying, “Why Bother?”<\/p>\n

In her artist statement, Mitchel writes:<\/p>\n

\u201cCome bear witness to
\nFine ephemera
\nFragile outpourings
\nForced vomit
\nIn this touring tour de force! \u2026<\/p>\n

Prepare yourselves, good people,
\nTo be bombastically bombarded by
\nA barrage of notes, scraps, scrawls!
\nA deluge of drawings, doodles, bits!
\nA torrent of articles, charts, lists!
\nNot to mention stories! writings! ideas! postcards! printouts! flyers! swatches! sketches! pachyderms! diagrams! receipts! RIPTA passes! reference photos! poetic musings! diabolical plots!
\nAnd lord knows what else!\u201d<\/p>\n
