In St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s puppet \u201cRomeo & Zooliet,\u201d<\/a> zoo animals present Shakespeare\u2019s \u201cRomeo and Juliet,” but in this case, “the Montagues are herbivores and the Capulets are carnivores. Can Romeo, a prairie dog, and Juliet, a grizzly bear, cross the biological divide and become best friends?” The company debuted the show in 2025, with puppets by Oregon’s Michael Curry Design<\/a>, which has worked on Broadway\u2019s \u201cThe Lion King\u201d and \u201cFrozen\u201d along with Olympic and Super Bowl ceremonies. This year’s performance is in the Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park in St. Louis from Sept. 24 to Oct. 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
