“Homecoming” was a meditation on migration, immigration and home–from bird sightings to immigrants crossing the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The original toy theater show, a form of miniature, table-top puppetry, was creatred and performed by Trudi Cohen, John Bell and Ziggy Bird-Roberts, with musical accompaniment by Marji Gere and Dan Sedgwick, at the Mystic Activity Center in Somerville on March 21, 2026. Isaac Bell created the crankie scroll featured in the performance’s concluding act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Homecoming” was performed as part of the community music series “Around Hear,”<\/a> led by Gere and Sedgwick, and the afternoon included musical performances of Abullah Ibrahim, Ethel Smyth and others as well.<\/p>\n\n\n
