Heartbreaking to hear the news this afternoon of Boston cartoonist and designer and my friend Dan Moynihan<\/a> suddenly dying on Dec. 21\u2013leaving behind his wife Cathy Moynihan<\/a> and their 14-month-old son. Dan was such a sweet and kind person, whose art was filled with wonder and joy. \u201cI would say that\u2019s a big theme for me,\u201d he told me when I interviewed him back in 2009, \u201cbelieving that there\u2019s more possibilities than seem obvious or that you would usually think of.\u201d Dan\u2019s sister Julie Hughes has set up this fundraiser for Dan\u2019s family: https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/support-ben-and-cathy-after-dans-passing<\/a>.
