We recently bumped into Muffy Pendergast<\/a>, who for some years now has organized “The Giant Puppet And People Making Mayhem Parade”<\/a> in New Haven, Connecticut. The “Empress of Westville,” as she calls herself after the neighborhood (“Bestville”) where the parade takes place, was working with friends and volunteers at the Coogan Pavilion at the Edgewood Skatepark building puppets and masks for this year’s parade, which is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, at the corner of West Rock and Whalley avenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
