\u201cPresident Trump was scary on the campaign trail,\u201d said Cole Harrison, executive director of Massachusetts Peace Action, \u201cbut when we see who he\u2019s appointing to high office, we see how dangerous this man really is.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was speaking at the \u201cProtect our White House – from racism, sexism, bigotry, and hate\u201d rally<\/a> in front of the Massachusetts State House in Boston this evening as the sun set. Some 40 people gathered for the candle-lit rally organized by Massachusetts Peace Action student groups to oppose Donald Trump\u2019s appointments of Steve Bannon, Jeff Sessions, Michael Flynn and others to top government leadership positions. Another speaker said that the group fears that such appointments \u201cwill result in discriminatory policies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrison described Flynn, Trump\u2019s choice for National Security Advisor, as \u201ca man obsessed with conspiracy theories. He does not have a grip on reality. \u2026 And yet this is a man who is going to be guiding the national security policy of the United States. \u2026 This cannot stand.\u201d<\/p>\n
