“Bloomin\u2019 refers to new growth coming out of a harsh time,” Boston artist Mark Cooper writes of his exhibition “Bloomin'” at Gallery Kayafas in Boston from Dec. 10, 2022, to Feb. 4, 2023.<\/p>\n

Cooper’s juicy, sensuous paintings, ceramics and photographs become a gallery-filling installation in reds, oranges, greens, blues, milky whites, and bare wood.<\/p>\n

“It is a celebration and a reminder to all of us to trust in the idea of working together and collaborating,” Cooper writes. “In this exhibition, the sum of the parts is greater than the individual components, a metaphor for how we can join together to make progress on shared issues and problems. Optimism, generosity, and empathy are essential considerations for this installation.”<\/p>\n
