\u201cAs an artist, I go to the personal, the individual, that\u2019s my approach. It makes me feel a little more hopeful and less overwhelmed. I want people to say, \u2018It does start with me,'” Lopez Chavez told Susan Flynn of the museum<\/a>. \u201c…The visual story is presenting a message of caring and doing something about it, this idea of protecting rather than simply caring without action, by the inclusion of this healing hand. … I think everything we do has this ripple effect, and that\u2019s true from the very minute action you can take in daily life, all the way to making policies and systems change to protect the environment. It\u2019s all about action. It doesn\u2019t matter whether you are a kid, or the president of a country, every single person has this capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n
