{"id":19368,"date":"2021-05-14T18:22:50","date_gmt":"2021-05-14T22:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gregcookland.com\/wonderland\/?p=19368"},"modified":"2021-05-14T18:24:56","modified_gmt":"2021-05-14T22:24:56","slug":"cruella","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gregcookland.com\/wonderland\/2021\/05\/14\/cruella\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Cruella\u2019 Costumes Showcased At Boston\u2019s School of Fashion Design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three costumes from the Disney film \u201cCruella,\u201d created by Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan, will be showcased in the front window of the School of Fashion Design window at 136 Newbury St., Boston, from from May 14 to 20, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The live-action film, directed by Craig Gillespie, imagines the backstory of Cruella de Vil, the fashion-mad villain of Disney\u2019s 1961 animated film \u201cOne Hundred and One Dalmatians.\u201d Disney describes the story as \u201cthe rebellious early days of one of cinema\u2019s most notorious \u2013 and notoriously fashionable \u2013 villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. \u2018Cruella,\u2019 which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jpZrVxvG3mk\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The film sets Emma Stone as Cruella against Emma Thompson as fashion legend Baroness von Hellman.
