“We don’t need it,” Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley agreed with hundreds of protesters who’d come out on Saturday, April 23, for the Resist The West Roxbury Pipeline <\/a>march and rally to oppose\u00a0Spectra’s proposed pipeline in Boston’s\u00a0West Roxbury neighborhood. “$90,000,000 escaped into the air just because of gas leaks.”<\/p>\n

“We don’t need this,” Boston City Council President Michelle Wu told the crowd at the proposed Algonquin Gas Transmission station at Grove and Centre streets. “This is not right for our city. This is not right for our community. We in all levels of city government are 100 percent behind you.”<\/p>\n
