With antique porcelain molds and colorful glazes, Megan Bogonovich<\/a> creates ceramics that she clusters together to evoke blooming deserts or flourishing undersea reefs or dream gardens.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re on view as part of the group exhibition \u201cNeon Wilderness\u201d<\/a> at Kelley Stelling Contemporary in Manchester, New Hampshire, from March 28 to April 26, 2019.\u00a0Bogonovich has a studio in Norwich, Vermont, and teaches at St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. Her earlier<\/a> ceramics<\/a> often featured doll-like women crawling into lush flora that seemed hungry to swallow them up. The pieces could call to mind \u201cAlice\u2019s Adventures in Wonderland.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sculptures combine naturalistic and abstracted imagery to suggest the possibility of the real and the imagined cohabitating,\u201d Bogonovich has said, to “present scenarios about the comforts and limitations of our personal worlds.\u201d<\/p>\n
