Wonderland Spectacle Co.<\/strong> produces parades and festivals and all sorts of spectacles. Lead artists Kari Percival<\/a> and Greg Cook<\/a> make fun art and nature videos for kids, hand-paint fabric banners, fashion masks out of poster board, craft puppets out of twigs and cardboard, paint murals, and inspire volunteers to join them in community spectacles big and tiny. And they teach others how to do these things too in their how-to workshops.<\/p>\n

Wonderland Spectacle Co. helped create Cambridge\u2019s Mermaid Promenade<\/a>, Somerville’s spring Starting Over Festival<\/a>, Malden\u2019s Santas Against Global Warming<\/a>, Nick Cave and Now + There’s Joy Parade<\/a> in Boston,\u00a0Arlington\u2019s Fox<\/a> Festival Parade<\/a>, Foo-topia for AS220\u2019s Foo Fest in Providence<\/a>,\u00a0the Saddest Parade on Earth<\/a> in Beverly, the How To Fix The World Festival<\/a> in Somerville, and the “Happiness Is A Tiny Carbon Footprint” group in Gloucester’s Horribles Parade<\/a>. And we’ve made videos for Boston Children’s Museum. (See more photos of Wonderland Spectacle Co. spectacles<\/a>.) Kari and Greg aim to advocate for all living things on earth, speak up for those who have no voices, and create parades that tell stories, question injustice, celebrate wonder and the wildlife all around us, even (especially) in our own backyards.<\/p>\n
