“Summer Solace,” a showcase of ballet and modern works presented by Boston’s Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe at Cambridge’s Foundry on July 11 and 12, 2026, aims to be “a performance rooted in the feeling of solace, a special kind of comfort found during times of fear and uncertainty.” Boston orchestra Horizon Ensemble accompanies the dance troupe ‘s main company, in “Fantasy on Shadow,” composed by Shira Laucharoen of Boston. Chrystyn Fentroy, a former Boston Ballet Principal Dancer who is joining the Royal Swedish Ballet as a principal dancer for their 2026-2027 season, closes the showcase with a dance choreographed by Gilchrist.
