“We are here because we understand climate change affects everybody. Though some leaders have tried to come between us, for the future of this planet we are all in the same boat,” said Rev. Mariama White-Hammond of the Green Justice Coalition and New Work AME Church in Dorchester, at yesterday’s “Boston Rise for Climate, Jobs, Immigrant Rights & Justice” rally in East Boston Memorial Park. Hundreds attended. “…We are here in East Boston because we understand this part of the city is in the most danger from climate change.”
