A “Cambridge Stands with Charlottesville” rally hosted by city officials drew thousands of people to the lawn in front of Cambridge City Hall this evening, Aug. 14, 2017.
“In the wake of the horrific events on Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia, Cambridge will come together for a unity rally. The fear, divisiveness, and intolerance that we have seen are not Cambridge values,” organizers wrote. “This unity rally will be a time to come together and stand for social justice, tolerance, and equality.”
