No Walton Ford in MFA?

Walton Ford, the great painter of Great Barrington, Massachusetts, will be among the living American artists featured in the collection of Walmart heiress Alice Walton’s Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art when it opens in Arkansas in November. But Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts doesn’t seem to own any work by this Bay State painter. Imagine how the mainly triumphal story of America told in the museum’s new Art of the Americas wing might be richer if Ford’s work was included.
