Honk Fest begins with Lantern Parades


The annual Honk Festival of activist street band performances began tonight with the Lantern Parades through the neighborhood around Davis Square in Somerville, Massachusetts. The festival — which features some 34 bands from as far away as Quebec City, Italy, Texas, New Mexico, Oakland and Seattle — continues through Oct. 8.
